Modded Ecu For 1100 Evo

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by comfysofa, Mar 8, 2015.

  1. As above. Mines going back to CJS as ive done/in the process of doing some more engine based work. Front Stainless headers have been added and ive just scored an induction kit (Something I thought id never get my hands on as usually you have to get them from the states and also theyre bloody expensive.) The headers were purely by chance....anyway - theres enough engine changes to warrant another visit - something which im kinda loathed to do in a way as dyno time is pretty expensive but itll be negated in that itll go like a rocket when its done with the current mods. Anyway, when I asked Chris and said "is it quicker to adjust whats already there" he said no, it has to be done again from scratch. So, ive got myself a stock 1100evo ecu off of ebay for him to mod that. Ive not got to the point where I can test it yet as the tank is off but if the bikes starts with the stock ecu then its moddable, meaning ill have a spare custom tuned ecu for sale (itll go towards the cost of the next day on the dyno) so, if you've got the same set up as me it should just plug straight on and go like fuck....

    Stock headers
    Aftermarket Tail
    Decat
    Drilled stock airbox

    The ecu work includes
o2 sensors deleted (you can ulplug yours...in fact you have to...)
    Redline increased by 500rpm
    Fueling sorted
Flapper valve motor deleted (so the whole assembly can be taken out, and on mine I drilled the valve out of the link pipe as well....)

So, although this work was carried out on mine - if you've got the same set up then itll be pretty damn close to mine in terms of performance and way better than a stock performance ecu from Ducati.

The above work was carried out over a full day, riding it home after that day was like riding a new bike.

Anyone interested...? As I say it hinges on the replacement unit actually firing up in the bike but I cant say yet as its in pieces....a la....

  2. Hi Mate what you doing with the evo stock headers?
Fancy putting a set on my 796 if your selling?
    cheers John

  3. I don't think the 1100 evo headers will fit - different shape.

  4. Seen on a yank forum that they will fit. means i will have to change my end cans though to a single!

  5. oh - ok - didn't know that....ive only got the stock cat though....Yeah - your welcome to them...

  6. You got a cat? I don't have one on my 796? I take it it's after where the headers meet? buggers my idea then if i need a decat pipe.
    thanks Anyway.
    Cheers John

  7. Yep - the rear pipe goes into the cat and the header does (ironically I sold the cat a few weeks ago...) - you can get a cat from danmoto - which is what I had....really good quality and cheap - about 80 from memory - delivered.

  8. Ahh right shame you sold yours , thanks for the info about Dan moto.
how much would you be wanting for the headers though as this could get expensive quickly!!!

  9. 50 quid, bosh - hows that...! carriage included...the headers on ebay cost 30 quid each plus the carriage....

  10. Sounds great, but just looking on danmoto and can't see the decat pipe??? Do you have a link?

  11. Bloody hell that was quick!!! I take it it fits okay and there's no problems?

  12. Not sure what you mean...?

  13. the dan moto link/decat pipe fitted okay no modding to be done? sorry for the confusion!

  14. Ah - yes - straight on - no problems there...

  15. Sorry for the late reply now home after work. Thanks for all the info.
