It's with more than a heavy and regretting heart that I might have to sell / part out my beautiful 999s. It was going to be a project for me, however a looming work situation forces me to act now before it's too late as such. I brought my 999s last January (2014) and only managed to ride it a total of 5 times - including test ride. A SUSPECT crank shaft BEARING failure meant my current engine stopped working. I then sourced another engine with samco hose kit (bought from a forum member from here), with the intention of running that whilst building my original engine into a monster. But, alas, it appears I must part. *crys a lot*. I would prefer to sell broke and engine as a project package to one person - However I'm not too stupid to think that will actually happen. Therefore I know the bike will be raped of parts as people see fit. Before I start stripping it all down, I want to; 1st offer it as a package deal 2nd gauge how much of the bike will sell in bits due to interest (I don't want to be stuck with half a bike really so min 75% had to go for me to start the process) I would offer my 999s up for £3000 and the spare engine at what I paid for it at £1250. Delivery from me personally could be possible for diesel money Ect. My 999s has some nice bits like the 999R swing arm, SPARK ECU & £1800 SPARK exhaust system, Öhlins rear shock, Ducati Front Screen, my 999s engine made 140rwhp and getting the head mapped onto the spare engine would produce near the same result from what I have been told as it's had a lot of head and Cam work. Plus other bits I cannot remember at 02:53 in the morning. Please don't hesitate to contact me via PM, I normally have my phone on me so I should be able to reply quickly. Each I complete agree. I got the money I wanted - although the £££ in parts it has means the gentleman has a good deal. Onwards and upwards - I want a CRF450 and a Hayabusa in the future when I have the money
Just to make sure - you sold it with the broken Engine? I could have done with the broken Engine not the good one
Yes mate, the bike went with the 140rwhp engine. The money to get it out to sell it separately I don't think would make it worth while for me to be honest. I still have the 11,000 mile good engine for sale.... If you know anyone that wants one
