Modified Exhaust Header

  1. I have an exhaust header from a Ducati Monster that has been modified, presumably to increase airflow through the crossover section. 2 sections of the standard pressed crossover have been replaced by 90 degree bends of 40mm diameter tube. The pictures below show a standard one and the modified one for comparison IMG_0359.JPG IMG_0360.JPG IMG_0361.JPG IMG_0362.JPG

Has anyone seen this modification before, and does anyone have any experience of whether the improved cross sectional area through the crossover has any improvement on performance?

  2. I've seen that before on the 900ss ie because i was thinking of doing it on mine, as far as i know there is improvement when done but as far as i can tell not to much to notice and the exhaust note is meant to be more of a low down boom, never did it in the end!!

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. I’d of thought Mark @MADASL was your man to talk to about fabricating an exhaust. Andy
