950 Modified Puig Screen A La Triumph?

  1. Greetings folks,
I was at a Triumph dealer today and just for fun looking at their 2024 Tiger Pro 1200 model, and noticed that the screen is very similar looking to my Puig Touring screen. But, the Triumph has an opening in the screen as you can see in the photo.
I think this might be a good idea, fills out the low pressure area behind the screen and lowers the turbulence?
What do you think, is it a good idea? I could easily modify my Puig screen to have the same opening. IMG20241115132341.jpg

  2. I've also wondered about that. Get the Dremel out!

  3. On the V4S there is a slot in the screen just like that one. The V4S is the first Multi I have had where the stock screen is actually perfect for me, I put it down to that slot in the screen.

  4. Go for it ,
Though I suspect Triumph might have spent a few quid developing that screen , it’s a bit more than just a hole :)

  6. If you need to lose some time there is a thread on the V2 forum about screens:

Not sure there is a fix that works for all. I guess it depends on your height, helmet make/model, etc. From the screens I've tried, once I get it adjusted to minimise buffeting I still get wind noise to a greater extent than on the Tiger 800 I had (which had a similar design of screen to the 1200 version pictured).
