999 Mono Tail Height

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by t3scn, Sep 25, 2018.

  1. Evening all,

Today I changed my rear subframe to my spare as the tabs have snapped off. Anyway all fitted but the rear mono cowl sits very high.

As it’s the carbon race item there isn’t the OME mounting that slots into the subframe, has anyone else here had this issue and how have you fudged it?

In my haste I didn’t take a very good photo but from the image below you get the idea.

  2. It's not OEM so all bets are off really dude.

  3. Yeah, it’s an official Ducati Corse part but they seem to have not bothered with the addition fitting. Thanks anyway

  4. Sorry correction, Ducati Performance part

  5. If i remember correctly you have to buy it from your dealership not expensive it screw's into your tail section them u can locate it into the subframe

  6. Is that subframe for the RS tail section? I know that fits on differently.

Is it that the bullet looking fixing has no rubber bushing to go in to? Would need to see under the back to know what's going on.

    Very, very nice bike btw

  7. Thanks, I do love it.

    No it’s a race/heavyweight standard mono subframe.

Got it sorted today with some extra spacers user the rear bolts under the seat which hold the cowl. Job done :upyeah:
