I'm going to get a carbon hugger for my 1200R but looking at the rear of the bike it looks like the exhaust can and possibly the shock need to come out to get to the pins to fit it?! Anyone replaced theirs? That can't be right surely?
Mine arrived on Sat at the dealer. Looking at instructions you DEF need to remove exhaust. As I'm getting my Termi's fitted next next, I've said leave it and do it at the same time. Just quickly looking at the Ducati instructions it DID show images showing you had to remove the wheel - not sure if that is actually necessary though.
Thanks - confirmed my suspicions. I thought the hugger on my SF was a ball ache to get at all the fasteners but this is next level. I like to do general decorating myself, makes the bike more personal to me, but will probably do the same here and have the dealer fit it when they fit my pipes.
