Monster 1200s Handlebar Clamp Torque Setting

  1. Can anyone tell me the torque settings for the allen head bolts in the handlebar clamp on the 1200 monster?

    Or, has anyone found a list of torque settings or a workshop manual for the 1200 monster?

  2. Hey Wally - the following is from my 1200 R workshop manual. I would assume the torque is the same, but I can't confirm that..

  5. Excellent, thanks for the link. I downloaded the 1200S manual, because I have the Stripe, and torque settings are the same but the handlebar clamp on the S looks different from the R, I guess because of the steering damper on the R, and tightening sequence is described as 1-2-3-4-3 (numbering from top left to bottom right). Go figure.

  6. Yeah - I noticed the special tightening sequence too. Its' 'special' because its a Ducati ;)
