Ok, taken the plunge and have ordered the new Monster 1200s. Who else can't wait for their new toy to be delivered? When are you expecting delivery? My dealer has suggested May, be interesting to see when when bikes start arriving.
Ordered mine before Christmas. Was told March delivery originally. Bike arrived last week but I am picking it up after Easter
Some guy picked his up same day as I did, but apart from that not seen any. Just racked up 1k km, so its going in for an oil change this weekend........
So far I like it. Still getting used to it after the multi. First impressions are it really pulls well from low down and the fuelling is spot on compared to the 2010 multi. However, it doesn't seem to have the same kind of powerband at ~7k as the multi - I guess its the tuning differences. Of course the riding position is sportier and it does feel very well planted in the corners. I need to do a couple of weekends away and post some more on how it racks up (but I am on hols for a few weeks now so it will be later on)......
Picked mine up the other weekend and in the process of running in. Absolutely love the ride, seems just that bit more refined compared to the 1100s. So smooth and easily turns in to corners. The ride feels a little lower than the 1100s Dare I say it, I do miss the dry clutch, but the exhaust note with Termi's more than makes up for it.
I've been surprised how many I've seen around the Cambridge / Newmarket area. Seen about 4 in last month - there's the possibility that it's all been the same bike of course
That was probably me running in the M1200. First service now complete, grinning from ear to ear after the ride home. The torque and power delivery is incredible compared to the 1100s. so smooth and just keeps going. Getting used to the 1200s is going to be great fun
