Monster 696 info??

  1. Wonder if any 696 owners could help me out???

    After the length and diameter of the rear shock??? And any pics of how it connects to the frame if possible :upyeah:

    295 mm eye to eye
    approx 70 mm diameter

    i will dig it out tomorrow if you need more reasurements

    Is that 70mm across the spring? I've got an old 900SS shock that's 88mm, this currently fouls the frame. Hoping I can use a 696 shock and gain the required clearance.

    I was going by the 70 mm spring which as you say is 88 mm diameter (I just measured it)

    Think you might have to chop the frame.

    So it seems the old 900ss shock shares the same 88mm diameter as the 696......bugger. Might have a plan though, cheers for you help.
