Monster 797 With Termis

  1. Hi all, nice to be on here
    Just buying my first Duke, and I’ve decided on a Monster 797. I’ve got 2 I like, ones a little more than the other but has a Termi exhaust fitted. Is the worth the extra?? I’m not after anything super loud and unsociable and teenage loud if you get my drift, is a Termi exhaust super loud or will it just make the cracking air cooled V twin sound as it should. I want something I can live with
    I’m buying blind from a dealer, so any advice would be greatly appreciated

    If the one with the Termi has the correct DP ECU map then I would go for that.
    The stock map with stock pipes is crap. Runs way too lean. I suppose to some extent it depends on the particular bike but mine was verging on dangerous with excessive surging at low revs.

  3. Thanks, yes im told it has the map on it but I will check, does it actually produce any more power as a result ?

  6. Doubtful if you will notice power increase. But throttle response and general 'rideability' should be a lot better.
