Monster Exhaust Advice

  1. Evening all, recently traded the ST2 for an 1100 monster evo. Absolutely loving the bike but my question is should it pop & bang on the over run with standard cans on? Don't get me wrong it sounds fantastic but I'm a bit worried in case it will cause any damage. The bike came with a Dan Moto open GP pipe which is way too loud and to be honest I don't really like the look of? I was wondering if the mapping had been altered for this pipe? Thanks all in advance & anticipation!!

  3. Thanks Stevie. Been looking on a few different forums & review sites and it seems there are conflicting reviews?? Many wonder how Ducati got them through noise testing because they are so loud and pop so much?? Most opinions I have found don't think it will do any damage either way! Going to visit Ducati Manchester next week or so while they sort out the quick shifter on my son's 848 evo corse se so will ask their advice while i'm there:grinning:
    Cheers.

  4. Oh Sh*t just read that back, sounds so pretentious! Sorry guys but he tells me off when people ask me what bike he has & I say 848! He insists I give it the full title

  5. Right getting to the bottom of this now, bike is in P3 tuning and has had their winter special offer, oil, filter, health check and dyno run £70. They found the fueling to be way off and running very lean. This would account for the snatchy running low down & roughness round town. I have opted for a custom map, K&N air filter & power commander. Will let you all know how I get on next week:smiley::upyeah:

  6. Sorry been mad busy at work!! Called in to P3 today and my mistake it is a rexxer they have done on my monster. All done, they tell me the transformation is amazing! Going to try and pick it up tomorrow. Have a look on their website to see it and my sons 848 on the dyno:smile:
