Monster exhaust

  1. Hi all,

    I am currently restoring a 2001 750ss.

It wasn't cared for by its last owner, who appears to have been a bit of a butcher.
It has original Ducati exhausts but for some unfathomable reason Mr Previous decided to turn them into stubbies, very loud but spoil the asthetics somewhat.
I have in my possession an original pair of Monster cans and am wondering if anyone knows of link pipes or similar I could use to fit these.
I am having real trouble locating 750ss cans that aren't smashed to bits.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    750 cans or link pipes...

    Thank you

  2. im sure ive seen a couple of companys on ebay selling stainless link pipes for ss and monster,or even an exhaust specialist such as longlife who will make up wot ever u need, swansea branch did superb job on my mates trike and will turn their hand to most things exhaustive

  3. You have Predator near you in Welwyn Garden City...they used to do preformed bends etc

    AL.

  4. The standard monster cans are the same as the SS ones. I have a nice set in the shed and they are the same part numbers as the 900 ones I have just put on my '99 Ss.

EDIT: I am wondering if I am being an idiot and second guessing myself. I am sure my "spare" set were sold as Monster cans but it am not 100% now. I might be willing to sell my good set if your interested

  5. My experience in this is that monster cans and front pipes have different shaped bends on them, the rear pipe on the headers is different as one goes through the arm and one goes behind, between it and the motor. Also the silencers have a different angle on them. they look very similar but till you fit them it is not apparent.
