wanting to change regulator on my 1999 996 to a mosfet for reliability, i'm sure there's old threads but technology never stops improving, has any body got any suggestions on the latest and greatest available please //
Series are indeed newer, but also more expensive. Ebay for a Yam R1 reg, connector kit from Eastern beaver or eBay source, thicker wiring back, heatshrink, a couple of hours on a nice spring day and you're done for maybe 70 quid?
