MOT and full QD system

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Gazdoc, Mar 17, 2013.

  1. Hi Guys,

A quick question : has anybody experienced any problems going for an MOT with a full QD system?

The QD comes with an EU road legal certification, is this enough for the MOT testers?

    Thanks in advance .:upyeah:

  2. I can get it mot'd don't matter how loud it is

  3. The noisier the better at my MOT station, they encourage me to give it some on arrival and when leaving! They are real bike enthusiasts.

  6. Good idea to ride the bike to the garage before you commit yourself to the test , and ask the tester" if you were to bring the bike there for testing would he pass it on noise levels?"

  7. The QD comes with a certificate of homologation so I'm guessing there won't be a problem.....

  8. That applies to baffles and cats in I believe.

  9. mot cant fail you on noise alone. if the pipe has not for road use your knackered but if it has 'e' marks should be fine. they cannot touch or remove anything in any way to check stuff so good luck. i suppose you cant cater for akward b'stards.

  10. That could be a problem then....there was no way I could fit the CAT's to my QD system as much as I tried.....still not worried though

  11. QD's can't run with cats. Baffles yes, cats no. Crime to fit baffles though. Let 'em sing I say.

  12. After running mine open for over a year, I fitted the CATs to my QD, no probs. It runs fine (ECU remapped pre-CATs), deeper sound, less smell.

  13. Then why did mine come with a pair of cats to insert if I wanted to?
