I thought it interesting to see how the professionals are rating the chances of each of the contestants in this year's championship. Dani is favourite over Jorge. Marquez more likely to win than Rossi!
A very good point. At 40/1 you'd be getting 1/3 of the odds, or really 1/6 as you'd lose your stake on 1st place. That's still nearly 7/1 if he makes the top 3. Bearing in mind that it's quite likely one of the top 4 will injure himself and put himself out of the running, you'd almost have a 50-50 chance of getting those odds. But then my logic has singularly failed to ever make me any money betting. So don't do it.
