Just read that on the MotoGP web site. Mugello is 4 weeks after Le Mans but don’t know if that’s going to be enough time to fully recover. Fingers crossed. Andy
Danilo to stand in for Bastianini at Le Mans, https://www.motogp.com/en/news/2023/05/05/petrucci-to-replace-injured-bastianini-at-le-mans/454484. Andy
Great news, Danilo is another great rider and likeable character, it'll be good to see how he performs on the new 2023 bike.
This will be interesting, will he go for it and crash again or play it safe? Marc Marquez returns for the French GP The eight-time World Champion is back in action this weekend after breaking the first metacarpal on his right hand in Portugal.
Court of Appeal: Marc Marquez wins! Read the statement from the FIM as it’s confirmed Marquez WON’T have to serve his penalty upon return The MotoGP™ Court of Appeal have issued its final decision on the Application of the Sanction in Marc Marquez’s (Repsol Honda Team) case. Here is what the FIM have published: Following the provisional decision of the MotoGP™ Court of Appeal pronounced on 12 April 2023 granting the stay of execution of the Application of the Sanction imposed on Marc Marquez, the Court still had to decide on the merits of the case considering inter alia the brief of appeal submitted by Marc Marquez and Team HRC – Repsol Honda Team on 17 April 2023. The Court decided to annul the Application of the Sanction imposed on Marc Marquez, which was issued by the FIM MotoGP™ Stewards Panel in connection with the Original Sanction. The Court considered that the Double Long Lap Penalty imposed on Marc Marquez by the FIM MotoGP™ Stewards Panel during the MotoGP™ Race of Portugal held on 26 March 2023 has been served by the non-participation of the Rider in the 2023 MotoGP™ Race of Argentina. Marc Marquez is hence allowed to compete in the next race in which he will be able to participate, without any further sanction.
He’ll be at it from the off I’d wager. Wonder who he’ll pick to latch onto in quali, surely not Fabio? Will certainly grab most of the headlines whatever happens so maybe a blessing in disguise for the likes of pecco who clearly doesn’t revel in that kind of stufff.
If that moto 2 session wasnt a microcosm of SL22's entire career i dont know what is. Top of the time sheets, to two crashes, a wrecked bike and 15th in the space of 40 minutes.
Interesting convo they were having about there being no ££ in moto 2 as theres no factories anymore, just teams. Always been a bug bear of mine seeing Yamaha and KTM logos splattered all over whats effectively a Triumph with a Kalex chassis. You want your logo there pay the riders properly imo.
Poor old Sam, I do like the Lowes boys, I hope he can stay on it this weekend! It really is one extreme to the other! No doubting the lads talent!
MM93 already at his usual tactics, tucking in behind faster riders to boost his grid position, where as his team mate Mir matched his lap time without having to follow anyone. Great to see Miller & Binder on form again.
That will mean more arse licking Jack from the BT sport team. And then they go quiet when he doesn’t win.
93’s standard weekend agenda on target. Crash, act an arse, grab a tow, crash, hurt another rider. And repeat.
Agreed. Race direction will again not have the balls to give hime the lengthy ban that is overdue. Instead they will make another faux pas by making an example of another rider, like the Fabio incident last race.
