  1. I very much look forward to seeing it, and the rider …..?

I’ll put Ryan Vickers out there…..

  2. Supersport looks distinctly like superbike used to with 750 il4 vs v2 1000's kinda. Its more relevent for us normal mortals on bikes. I wish them well as theyre a nice company.

  3. I'll put this out there... Thomas Strudwick... he's been racing in europe, but he cut his teeth with MotoRapido. Supersport would make a good step for him into a superbike ride. My other bet would be one of the really fast more experienced guys who's relatively 'safe' bet, as even though the costs might not be huge, I think Wilf will want those sponsors rewarded with professional and consistent performance.

  5. You’ve got your ear to the ground. Let’s see what happens.

  6. Given the reputation Moto Rapido Racing has earned in the paddock through the years, I should imagine having a number of quality riders stepping forward to choose from is the least of their worries :D Andy

  7. Booth-Amos would be great to see on it. But there are a few tri options guys who have bikes built by MR that would be in the frame, if they can raise the funding/sponsorship.

  8. John McPhee?

  9. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^he's not aggressive enough for me, plus his racecraft is not so clever.

  10. Wilf will want someone capable of winning….or at least consistent top 10 ;)

  12. Im not going to sit here and make excuses for him because quite frankly I’m not bothered either way but I take it you heard the situation with his crew chief? The fella they had to sack because he’d been caught slapping TBA about? Results seem to have improved somewhat since.

Also thought that link would go some way to dis proving the “doesn’t win” and has “no race craft” comments.

    Which are clearly untrue. :upyeah:

  13. I stand by post #14, i've never said he hadn't won a race in his racing career, also i quite like him as a person etc, but the real top flight champions bring home the silverware every race weekend.:upyeah:

  14. I didnt say you did per se but others on the thread have (unsurprisingly).

Not here to defend McPhee by any means as ive certainly been one of the first to knock him over the course of the season but when you hear what hes been through i think some perspective is needed.
And lets face it there are very very few riders who "bring home the silverware every weekend". Even the current champion had a slow start to the season.
20 odd podiums in 170 odd starts at GP level isnt terrible and certainly cant see him dropping as far back in his carrer as BSB suspersport.
Bloody hope not for his sakes anyway.

  15. As we are talking about John McPhee, I think he will be on a world supersport bike for a team like DynaVolt. Moto2 is unlikely as there are two other brits.

  16. A swap for Lowes may work for him, as alas Lowes has not done anything at that level. (By anything I mean been a genuine season long contender)

  17. I had forgotten about Lowes, that means 3 as Rory skinner will be there, so I can't see it. Lowes is certainly speaking as if he's fully signed up and sorted with the same team.

I would say in regards to Supersport for Ducati, maybe a bradley pirrie, or a luke stapelford would be my bet other than my original Tom Strudwick bet
