  1. Hi all,

For those who are still interested, a little push to this thread. I just recently figured how to use this standard equipment of SPconnect.

Thinking of how this would work for my Ducati I measured the inner diameter of my steering tube. I first found myself a second hand steering stem nut to make a hole in. Not to take any risk with the original :)

Inserted a little peace of foam to prevent the plastic clamp falling too deep… leaving a gap for any water to drain.

torque and adjust the steering nut

For me, it sits in place nicely. The wiring and 12V to 5V inverter I totally replaced, soldered and insulated with braided sleeve towards the fuse box.
There I used one of the spare fuse-sockets and wired it onto the ones switched via the ignition switch…

I hope anyone find this useful.
    Enjoy the evening, cheers

  2. Sorry guys, guess I was too enthusiastic with this post… therefore in the wrong thread since it is not a Quadlock Sorry mods…

  3. No worries, all mounting ideas give folks something to think about ..... or steal!

  4. There are plenty of options for the Multistrada. Until recently I've continued the use a Ducati Performance above the clocks mount with an AMPS adaptor plate for various previous Garmin models. More recently that cobbled together with an SP Connect AMPS plate to hold my older Android phone (Garmin gone, now navigating using MRA Nav Next).

I now have the Evotech to SP Connect mount and the SP Connect wireless charging module fitted to the Pikes Peak Yet to test this, still expecting some of the wobblyness of the previous setup as this is more down to the screen adjustment mechanism. The lighter weight will likely help that though. The quality of both the Evotech parts and SP Connect system are satisfyingly fantastic. Added to which both companies, in my direct experience, have good product support which is reassuring.

The Evotech sat nav mount comes in a variety of fit options to suit many of the various sat navs out there. Encouraged to see that they even offer kits to swap to a different system without having to buy the whole mount again. Evotech deserve their success, great products, have quite a few already.
