Mts Pp Neutral Issue

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Mtstermi, Aug 19, 2018.

  1. Hi, after a time away having owned two 1200 S picked up a Pikes Peak 1260 yesterday.

Bike is fantastic, taken a step on since my last one a few years ago in terms of build quality.

My own lay issue is when the bike has warmed up, it’s impossibke to get neatral. When the bikes not running, it’s easy, when the bike is first started it’s possibke but towards the end of the ride it just won’t engage neutral.

There also seems to be a noticeable gap when using the quick shifter between 5 and 6 where there is a 1 second or more delay. My Superduke was pretty much instantaneous

Have no regrets in the bike, but any thoughts in the above would be welcomed. I can take back to Ducati Cambridge in due course

  2. And welcome Dave

  3. Welcome to the forum Mtstermi, I have a Monster 1200s and it's exactly the same, finding neutral will get better with some miles and 4-5 just needs a bit of concentration, I don't know why the shifter is so slow but I will talk to my dealer about it and if there is a fix I will let you know.
