  1. Hi Guys,
So...I just took delivery of a set of Bens cracking Multistrada decat pipes to pair up to my Termi Stubby. I am led to believe that this could 'lean up' the fuelling somewhat....so I have ordered a fueller to mitigate this: However, I may have to wait two weeks for this feckin' thing.
    So: Question:
Is there any danger to the motor by fitting these pipes now and running on standard fuelling, until the box of tricks arrive....or am I in danger of putting a bloody hole in it??
Anyone out there removed the decat without buggering about with the fuelling?

Any help or advice will be appreciated:

    cheers

  2. Doesn't the ECU take care of all that for you?

  3. i know a few guys have done mivv decat with no fuelling issues but custom mapping would provide you with the perfect set up which really why wouldn't you want that, 14k bikes can easily justify custom map price

  4. Not if you've done you bollox buying the thing! Lol

  5. true mate if i hadn't fooked my back up i was either going to get decat and map or top box will have to wait now

  6. Problem is a bespoke remap could come to Mr. Ducati's attention should I blow the fucker, or similar, and need a warranty claim....with a fueller, whilst it may not be perfect, it should be removable 'without a trace officer' if needed.

  7. I'm sure they'd notice your decat as well , surely cjs could write the ecu back to factory if need be , think also a correct fuel map would be taken into consideration if it went bang so warranty should still be intact , if your big ends went they won't send your ecu away to be examined

  8. I do recall Finn (not finm) had the same set up on his 11 Mutley and he didnt alter anything plus it sounded bloody loud!

  9. I doubt they need to send the ECU away to check the map as it will show up on the diagnostics when they plug the bike in.

  10. I've been running my 2013 with the SC Project decat for a couple of months and haven't noticed any noticeable fuelling issues. I've now added a memjet which has made the bike feel a bit more responsive but nothing dramatic.

  11. I fiited a Mivv decat to my 2012 MTS over the winter and have put about 1500 miles on with it. I recently had an annual service at my local Ducati dealer and spoke to the technician who commented on the fabulous sound! I asked him if I should get a remap and he looked at a little bemused and said "so it'll run a bit lean, so what"?
