Some big speeds being recorded and the Marquez brothers dawdling on the racing line ! Should be an interesting weekend. Sylvain Guintoli part of the BT commentary team as well. https://motomatters.com/analysis/2021/05/29/mugello_friday_round_up_on_the_relative.html
Not only the Marquez bros. The Rossi one's too. Baggy looking good after all the free practices to date. But pace aplenty from many riders. Nice to see KTM have found something to put them back in the mix. Always nice to get expert opinions from guest commentators like Ginters. As good as Simon Crafar is on riding technique and spottingmachinery updates I wish the official MotoGP vid pass commentatary team brought past riders in more. Ben Spies for example a few years ago was fantastic with his analytical insights.
BT commentary team inciting MM hatred.... It does make me smile. What was he doing wrong?? And MV sat there like a sulky child afterwards. What a fanny!!
PopGun will never be WC if he's rattled by such a trivial thing as that. Marcie Marq must have been laughing away to himself inside his hat "Too easy!". FourCheeses something else. Completely on the limit everywhere, wanting to smash the all time lap record he said to Simon. Mission accomplished. A top of table head to head tomorrow between nr's. 20 & 63?
Won't lie I thought It was a shithouse move when I watched it but having thought about it a bit it was quite clever, especially as it's taken the attention away from how shit that Honda must be. Be "interesting" to see what would happen if every rider on a shit bike decided to do it though (see moto3 for evidence).
MV can get his own back on MM tomorrow. He won’t though because MM is a Sunday man. If he stays on that is. FQ. Still not convinced. He seems to cave in quite a lot on Sunday. And he’s obsessed/anxious about rain.... shouldn’t give a shit at that level....
Flashheart, you must have missed the Froggie GP last time out where local boy FourCheeses podium‘ed in a flag to flag race. You’re right in that Fabio was expectation flustered 2020 with a bad year M1 (precedent Rainey and the ROC for example). But 2021 the two year motogp experienced twenty two year old is much happier with his steed, and mentally maturer. This young man is ready. Unforeseens excepted he’s the main protagonist in this title fight. Still hope Baggy does it though.
Fabio looks like a different rider this season. Backed him from the first race this year and hope he can take the title. Give him a bit more credit too. The Yamaha is not “that good” this year. Discounting VR, who is the wasteland, the other two riders should be fighting for the podium every race IF the bike was good enough. Ducati obviously the one to watch. Three Ducati riders all fancy their chances, the bike is streets ahead and does seem to go around corners now. Albeit in a different way to Yam/Suzuki..but it has so much performance advantage it is embarrassing.
You could well be right. No doubt he’s a fine talent. But I’m not convinced he’s mentally strong yet. He’s young though so that could well change. I sat next to him at breakfast in Jerez last year. He looks about 12 jammy bastard!!
Sam bins it again now that's three this season, the question's when is he going to get it right,...championship title gone for this year.
Oh dear. Marquez lunge into a no-gap again. Except this time he fell off. His luck had changed: his approach hasn’t
The field he's racing against has changed quite a bit too hasnt it. In the past he'd have been practically waved through like royalty but the young guns of today seem able to make life much harder for him, even basher binder taking none of his nonsense today, it's great to see and long may it last!
Confidence. It’s all about split second decisions. When confidence is up, they’re right, when confidence is down, they’re wrong!!
