Hi guys , thinking of going to this , any of you guys used packages with specialists you can recommend ? Cheers . Pav.
Ive heard polepositiontravel.com are good for packages but we are going independently and have bought our tickets through ticketone.it twice now. They are very efficient and tickets were delivered from Italy within 3 days of buying them and we found these to be a better price than any of the UK based companies that sell them. If you fly into Pisa the train service is great straight from the airport to Florence where you should find some reasonably priced accommodation. However getting to the track from Florence by train is do-able but beware the train will be crowded and once at the station nearest to the circuit which is Borgo San Lorenzo you will have to find someone to give you a lift to the track. The locals will cash in a bit and offer lifts for around 10/20 euros but all said and done even once you take this into account it will still be cheaper than a package and your get to see Florence. We had a great time so are returning again this year but this time driving from the UK and making a longer holiday of it.
Cheers, we would like to also make a week of it and visit rossi,s home town, is it doable to hire a car and drive on the day or would you stay nearer the track ?
Been to Misano the last two years and this year going to mugello .We normally fly and hire a car , we've gone through Bookmoto for the tickets , can't fault them .
Pav, We paid 120 euro each but they had a deal on and was 90 euro for women in central bronze opposite the pits in 2013 we was in Bondetti silver. If you are staying in the Mugello area i am sure you would have to drive via Bologna to Tavullia motorway all the way from Bologna a bit of a trot in one day i sure its about 3 hours each way, Have you got a bit more info of where you are thinking of flying too, Misano is the track nearest to Tavullia
That's right , when we've been to Misano we've flown into Ancona then a 45 min drive to Misano .Tavullia is only 20 mins away , well worth going .
Cheers guys we are open to going anywere but would like to be able to get in and out of the track and be close , so maybe staying in Rimini would be best?
Rimini for Misano gp is about 10 mins to the track, but to Mugello thats a long way. May be fly to Bologna drive and stay near Mugello/Florence and Monday after race drive to Rimini/Cattolica for beach and Tavullia.
If you stay in Misano it's about a 20 min walk to the circuit, also there's plenty to do at night , bars ,stunt shows , ape car racing etc .
Went there in 2011 and 2012, we stepped out of our hour hotel went to the bus stop over the road and got the free bus which was direct to the track the same for the return
