Multi Carbon Bits.

  1. I recently started trawling around for a little "bling" for the mutley. I wanted to add carbon on the beak, rear end belt covers and the like.

With funds being a little restricted by the household fiscal and monetary committee (the wife) and the fact that the beak parts alone new are chiming in at around the £600 quid mark I sought out other options.

I know it really is cheating but I wnated carbon but couldnt afford the "full monty".

Sorry if I have offended the purists but I found these guys Carbon parts - Products - Ducati Multistrada 1200 - Carbon Teile.
who supplied genuine carbon parts in the form of perfectly fitting covers and whilst not the whole air intake, they do a pretty convincing job of blinging up the bike.

I sourced both the beak and air filter cover parts for £338 all in and the Parcel landed on my doorstep THREE DAYS after ordering.

I fitted the panels to the original ABS plastic parts with a few thin beads of silicon before re fitting using the pre drilled holes and original fittings.

On another note and as an afterthought, I bought a rear hugger from Ty at Cream Carbon Cream Carbon Motorbike and Car Accessories Cream Carbon. Again a really nice high gloss product with a great weave, not a cover this time, but the whole replacement part.

The remaining bits will be sorted as and when funds are released, but in the meantime i have to prioritise sourcing a 1991 900SS fuel tank damn rust. (anyone got a decent one?)

In conclusion, I know the preferred option would be the entire carbon replacement beak and side panels, but I assure you the fit of these covers is excellent and the perfect option if the budget is a little restrictive.

Both vendors have great communication and are a pleasure to deal with In fact, Peter Wack at Carbon SK gave me lots of great advice for my journey to the Black Forest including links to routes etc.

  11. Is it really a good idea to display a business's private discount code on a public forum, for all to see, non-members included?

  12. He only has to check up on here for usernames and there's no law stopping people from joining.....
