Hi. Could anyone confirm for me that you cant get a 2013 or 2014 multistrada with gold fork legs. I have seen two advertised on ebay and when I inquired about one of them I was told that the reg date was correct. Could it be that they are pre 2013 bikes that weren't registered until after 2013. Also the lower price that they were advertised at suggests that they were older too.
Gold forks are Ohlins and were used on pre skyhook 2012 S models. 2013 model years were Sachs on the skyhook bikes and I can't remember what the base model had (Marzocchi's ??), but it wasn't Ohlins. Sounds like they were 2012 model year bikes registered in 2013 ?
Cheers. I thought that, and thought it was a bit naughty calling them 2013 and 2014 bikes. I was not interested in buying one but I have just bought a 2013 skyhook and was beginning to think that I had paid too much for it. Panic over. Cheers again.
