Mine did that. I used Sugru to mould myself a new one. It's kind of like bluetac that dries into a hard rubber. Works perfectly for lots of bike related things. I figured I'd be undoing the whole elastic strap too if I went OEM as it's the only way to get the black plastic bit on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
