Hi all. I am new here. Glad to be part of the forum. I have a 22 plate V4S and have noticed the chain guard is a pretty poor fit. On closer inspection, if I press the bottom corner in, there is a wear mark on the swing arm coating all the wway to bare metal. The bike has covered 1800 miles. Any of you guys noticed this on your bikes? Thanks H
Thanks Captain. Do you feel it is a warranty claim? My friend has a 1200 MS and all the paint has bubbled up on the swingarm where water got under the paint. I don't want that happening to my 20k bike.
Think the swinger is anodised so won’t bubble , call your dealer and as warrantee work for them is easy money and worth a call .
Need a picture, I had all the rear guards off the other day for cleaning and didn't notice anything amiss.
OK so that is the section sort of behind the pillion footrest and no mine isn't rubbing on the swingarm, it's a close fit but not touching.
