Hi Can anyone help The battery went flat on my 55 plate 1000 DS it had 12000 miles on clock I charged it up went for a ride next thing i noticed the service spanner light on and to my horror saw that i had done another 10000 miles> for some reason the bike has added the extra mileage so it now reads 22000 miles. I there any way of correcting this or have i just lost £ 1000.00 off the trade value of bike. I have been told that there maybe some one you could send clock to to have milage corrcected. Any help greatfully recieved. Thanks
the clocks had history of breakdowns, mine were replaced under warranty, but yours seem out of warranty age ,the local dealer can turn the spanner off but the mileage i dont know , my second set is misting up dont reckon they will last much longer ,crap!
Don't waste any more time .....take them off and get them dried out. its easy to split it open.....look round the join line for the gaps and use a small srew driver to gently prise the two halves apart I always grease the silicone seal when I put mine back together...I think it helps
Another alternative would be Cluster Repairs UK - recently sorted the problem with the immobiliser on my Multistrada 1000S. Scorpio in contrast took two months to reply to me.
