Hi I have a Ducati Multistrada 1100 year 2008 fitted with Acerbis hand guards. I want to take them off but I cannot get the expander bolt in the handbars out. Do you have any advice on how to take out the expander bar out? Thanks Some pictures
Have you encouraged the threaded end that expands in the handlebar with a hammer ? Once you have knocked the expander loose into the handlebar, it should be just a matter of mole grips on the end with a twist and pull motion. Likelihood is it’s corroded in place and will need a bit of force. Andy
Managed to get these out eventually. I gave a slight tap with the hammer and then tightened the screw back in a little and then pulled / wriggled it out. That was fun. Thanks for advice Andy
