HI, My 1200 Enduro sits about 60 degrees on normal rides, which i think is a bit low, does anyone know if this is ok
Out on the open road my 1260MTS runs at about 63-65ºC. Get involved in traffic and it soon increases into the 80s and 90s depending on movement. The open road figure does seem on the low side and has been reported here previously. However, I'm confident that the engineers at Bolgona considered use of these bikes in temperate climates such as the UK. I have only 3500 miles on the bike so far but oil looks healthy, no emulsification, and it seems plenty powerful enough. Not as if the ECU is thinking the engine isn't warm enough. My MV Turismo had the opposite, ran worryingly warm. In the Pyrenees (a reasonably warm day, though not scorching, and it had been working hard on the passes) at a set of traffic lights it went to 114ºC and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Dealer had flushed and refilled coolant prior to my departure as I was already concerned about temperatures in the UK.
Around 60 all the time, unless in town or londinium which then it goes 100+. I have full termi system also' close to 32,000miles.
Thanks guys thats great, was a bit worried but it goes fine & i have arrow mid pipe so was afraid it was causing the low temp.
Mine is about the same. Goes up when in traffic or the weather is warmer. But in typical UK weather it's rarely out of the 60s when the bike is moving. Previous two bikes (Monster 1200S, Multistrada 1200S) were both the same, as was a Diavel that I put 3500 miles on.
