Ladies & Gentlemen Doing a trip this year down to Milan area of Italy. Bought some Ducati luggage from M&S motorcycles in Newcastle for this trip but need a rear rack to strap my Kriega US20 too. The Ducati expanding rack IMHO is not worth the money, the one below supplied by Touratech at half the price IMHO is. You will get a fair few opinions on this. I looked a loads of of options and discounted them for various reasons. I have the Kriega luggage system which I run with the Ducati touring panniers when off abroad and after much research I settled for the Altrider rack which has been perfect. Lightweight but very strong with lots of bungee holes, only issue is not the cheapest and had to order from Canada at the time. Luggage Rack for Ducati Multistrada 1200-Black AltRider
Hey Stu, I've just picked up my Multi (well 2 weeks ago...) and I have a spare rack. I've put a back box on mine (the Mrs won't ride pillion without one!) and I took the Duc performance one off. There is one problem with it - one of the sliding bolts is sheered off and there's a spring missing (didn't check when I bought it as I didn't know how it worked....). Anyway, it seems to work ok, and could be used without the expandable bit. I was going to put it on flea-bay, but if you're interested giv me a shout. Ed
I've got a Palmer Products luggage rack plate for sale, see http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f20/multistrada-1200-accessories-10938/ The wife liked the support from a top box, and when removed the large mounting plate makes a good rack. So I didn't end up using it much. Steve B
