1200 DVT Multistrada 1200s, 2017, Top Box Fittings

  1. just bought an original Ducati top box 2nd hand but no fittings with it. my bike came with panniers only.
    I’m struggling to find the mounting plate and correct brackets for this. Is this a dealer item.

    any help, links, appreciated

  2. I think you can buy it separately from a dealer.

    Only other option is s/h.

  3. I think you can get aftermarket plate to fit, the topbox is givi so they probably have something to fit

  4. I don’t think Givi are allowed to sell the fittings as part of their agreement with Ducati.

  6. Perhaps not, those additional part numbers are just the colour coded panels and lock barrel

  7. The top box part number is 96780692A and I think it comes with the the mounting plate/frame, can’t find a part number for the plate/frame alone so I don’t think it’s available to order?

  9. I would of liked the plastic top box but having the aluminum panniers the support brackets don’t play well together, I also considered getting a engineering company to make me custom supports but it’s just time & money all the time

  11. SW Motech do a plate that fits the Ducati top box. I have one it has a quick release adapter plate which you can take off when not using the topbox so you just have the plate fixed to the bike. Also has lashing points on the plate for a roll bag if needed.

  12. You do need the support arms that run down the side and attach to the under tray. Friend with an Enduro bought alternative top box and this broke his grab rail in fairly short order.

  13. I think I have the support arms if the OP wants them FOC, just cover postage and owe me a beer.

  16. Earlier ones won't fit the DVT bikes.
