Ok thanks.. I'm still on run-in riding just having had my first service. I haven't rev'd it to those rpm's. I'll check that out.
And it hits the limiter really quickly once you hit amber! It’s amazing really how quickly it spins up given what a big, limy motor it is as standard
The Multistrada is different from both the Panigale and the Monster which displays the redline while idling. Thanks for the heads-up guys.
Slightly off topic but on a similar note, my mate has just bought a GS 1250 and he showed me the red line on the TFT screen is at a different rpm when the engine is cold and increases as the engine gets warmer.
