V4 Multistrada Ducati Connect.

  1. May be coincidence, however my Multistrada will no longer display the Sygic Navigation. Just after my iPhone is updated to iOS 18.
Connect works, can see phone contacts etc. but when you click navigation the message reads.

  4. This happens pretty much every time I try to use it. If by some miracle it works then it drains the phone battery like a thirsty Irishman necks a Guinness!

  5. I’ve not tried since updating to ios18 a few days ago? Is it perhaps an iOS issue or does the Sygic app need updating?

  6. Sygic works fine on the phone, I think it’s probably the connect app . No doubt it’ll work at some point……

  7. Just upgraded Sygic to the latest version 24.5.0 which was released 3 days ago. I’ll try the connectivity at the weekend. I’ve a tour coming up end of next week so I hope it works for that otherwise it will be good old Google maps or I might give Waze a try.

  8. ^^^^^Love it^^^^
I've just given up on the Ducati connect thingy. It's more of a hassle than anything.
IDK about the V4 but on the 1260 it viewable only in touring mode, not sport....and that's when it works, sorta..
Phone paired to Cardo combined with a stand-alone GPS does it for me.

  9. I never had any bother with Ducati Connect on my Multistrada V4S. Worked every time. It just drained the battery on my phone so I used to have that on charge and lodged in the tank pocket.

But now I’ve got the Diavel Ducati Connect serves no purpose unless you buy the “turn by turn” software for the bike. Apparently that’s a bit shit so I’ve bought a Garmin Zumo XT and will have that fitted next week when it goes in for its first service.

  10. Can’t beat a Zumo , well unless you just do A to B which the Sydick was great at .

  11. Zumo XT and MRA planning is my go to choice. Although MRA navigation on a phone is very good

  12. Cant go wrong , the Zumo opens new roads , you can plan , explore and get away from the Sat Nav , and use the GPS unit as they are mean to be used . Some want the system similar to cars ( cant remeber what its called but use it in my Vw van ) but its just a tool to get you to the destination , not explore as you need to on a bike and take advantage of the connection with exciting roads and routes you need on a bike .

  17. I'm not dissing on the Zumo as it has a couple of bike related features but it's a brick of a pig and gullibly over-priced.
Here in Canada, a Zumo XT2 will set you back $800 plus 15% tax for a whopping $920 !!!.
    I picked-up a couple of these top-of-the-line older Garmin Nuvi's for about CAN$60 each and a $15 Ram-Mount.
They have most of the Zumo's features where the rest can be had combined with your phone.
You can also add routes, Topo and other maps.
Route planing is not that much more complicated with Apps like Waze (which has police, speed cameras, traffic and hazard warnings), Sygic, https://inroute.com/ ,https://www.rever.co/ and websites like https://roadcurvature.com/ just to name a few.
    Check-out the thickness!!!
Motorcycle handlebar real-estate space is a limited commodity.
This is a very cost efficient alternative to a Zumo.

  18. I ran a Nuvi765 for a few years. It was essentially a Zumo 660, not waterproof but a third of the price. Put a bit of insulating tape over the SD card slot. Never had any issues with it behind the screen of my VFR.

  19. For me the cost is not the issue , more what it offers for me , similar to suspension, tyre pressures etc . The XT is a unit that offers great navigation . Like all things its progression, the cost is what it is .

  20. I'm not disagreeing. It's all good if you have the disposable cash.
Heck, I wouldn't care using my pocket change left to get a Zumo after filling-up my helicopter.
