Hi Is there a way to find out when the service due date is on multistrada s dvt somehow Asking as it`s due the MOT and dont want to have to take it back again later for them to reset the dash light for service. It was set to date not mileage last time i recall and they said it cant be cleared until it actually comes on Just wanting to postpone service until its due
Should be 1 year since it was last reset. The OBDStar thingy can reset it without going to a dealer. I wonder if setting the clock date ahead would bring the service light on?
I suspect that reset can only be done when the light is actually on. I know that setting it behind the current date turns off the warning light. I did that before I bought my OBD Star, I dont know about putting the date forward, never tried that. With the OBD Star, you can pick any date you want to reset it it,
I can confirm that's the service lights can only be turned off after the event. Not preemptively. Having a service done ahead of time will result in a return trip to the dealer to have the light turned off once it comes on... Alternatively get, or find someone local with, an OBDStar.
It felt amazing after riding that little Kawasaki courtesy bike. I don't think the bike has ever gone so well, fantastic ride home.
I think my service was on five years old rather than mileage, 11,800 miles Next one at 18,000 I think but dont quote me on that.
