V4 Multistrada Euro5

  1. Hi all.... I have multistrada v4 2021..i have acrapovich silencer... I make decat pipe and after the place the bike very low power and no check engine light... Only with reset from ducati make all... Working only with catalytic... What's problem for this?
     
  2. Did you remove servo? If so, even though no light it’s possibly related.
     
  3. the servo is better to leave it on?
     
  4. thank you..but servo motor is on the bike and not unplug....only when place decat i have problem....very low power and maybe close throttles
     
  5. I've just had a look at the parts schematics for the V4 and can't see that it actually has an exhaust valve... maybe you can verify?

    There are two versions of the manifolds, one with Lambda sensors for each of the four headers and another with shared sensors, one for the front bank and another for the rear...

    I can't see an exhaust valve or even a boss for one. Have scoured the other frames and no sign of a servo and cables that I can find either. I stand to be corrected though.

    Removal of the cat and replacement with a link pipe will change the back pressure significantly, this in itself may cause problems/poor performance without further work.

    You can see the exhaust valve, servo and cabling on the schematic for the 1260 Multistrada exhaust below:

  6. Correct no exhaust Servo on the V4 engine
     
  7. and what problem ?the link pipe is clone from acrapovich....
     
  8. If problem only exists when you remove the standard box then something must have been unplugged.
    If the link pipe is from Akrapovic then it must have been designed to work with the bike and is perhaps, used in conjunction with an upmap of some form.
    An upmap loaded by Ducati ?
    It would seem logical to say
    Leave standard on until you know exactly what’s going on.
     
  9. No up map because I buy full exhaust system... I make mid pipe because I remap at ecu... But when place midpipe at dyno is 130 hp and original catalytic 150....nothing can make problem... And Ducati dont know... Only with reset from diagnostic working and only with catalytic

  12. Unless I have misunderstood, your Akrapovic system has not been fitted by an authorised Ducati dealer ? Andy

  14. And that, IMO, is the root of your problem. To my knowledge, there is no ECU map available for that combination and certainly no-one currently in the UK is offering non standard mapping for the V4 Multistrada. It might be different in Greece, I wouldn’t know but again IMO, you are trying to do something no-one else has looked at for long enough to come up with a solution. Just my thoughts. Andy
