As above, it's the canister for the rear shock preload adjuster as part of the electronic suspension. Your ABS model doesn't have this.
Motor for pre-load...joined by the black cable. Compression and Damping on the little gold cotton reels on the actual shock. Very important that you buy a complete spare unit. There was someone on here selling one.
