I have had one on order for just over a month now, was told one week then two weeks and now its an open order which means order not yet allotted to a bike in the factory. Is anyone else having dificulty?
Ducati are effing useless at confirming or sticking to deliveries. Ordered a stock 1098, no sign of it turning up so took a nearly new Trico S instead. Ordered a stock MTS, no sign of it turning up so took a new in stock Sport instead. Some of accessories ordered took months to turn up. My bike is now 16 weeks off the road awaiting replacement cylinder heads FFS. Once the Audi DNA filters through to replace the Italian, shoulder shrugging attitude they seem to adopt, the better (although the bikes may become a little dull?). Aaand relax.
There's one sitting at my dealer's which he was trying to pushl but I was adamant I would only have a red. AFAIK, there is a dealer network in place now where they can move bikes around. Its coordinated from Ducati UK. Surprised you should still be waiting.
Pro Twins at Godstone Pro Twins - Homepage 01342 892888 They're really nice. And if you're really for it, they'll do their best to source a bike for you. Mention my name (Lok) when you call. I did hear the owner, Brett (he deals with the sales) mention that shortly I ordered my red, someone took the GT to ride to Monaco. But I saw one sitting in their showroom still last Thursday. So you never know. But back in late March, there was a GT right there, unloved, waiting for an owner...
Pardon the pun, Tuck is Stuck, already parted with cash at Manchester Ducati Dealer, they seem to be progressing my order and bike should be with me around 1st May. (not holding my breath) Thank you very much for your helpful comment and for your interest. Tuck
That Manchester Ducati with the fancy website and clothing section? Goes to show looks aren't everything. Something's definitely amiss. Was at my dealer's open day yesterday. That GT he was offering was snapped up by the Monaco chap. But he has another one on the way within the week. Doesn't sound like a shortage to me!
