Hi all, Toying around with the idea of a switch back to track riding only and as a result would have to sell my Multistrada on to fund it. Could I ask for your help in pricing it up please? I will put it for sale here on the forum before it goes anywhere else. 2012 Model White (best colour in my opinion) approx 10,000 miles Full Desmo service with belts done 200 miles ago I am second owner GPR stainless system fitted otherwise completely standard Will grab some photos when I am back at the weekend Thanks!
1200 or the 1200 Sport/Touring with electronic Öhlins. Top box, luggage ? When you say ‘Desmo’, do you mean including valve clearances that are due at 15,000 miles ? What was done to eliminate to exhaust valve error on the dash ? Andy
Base model non S No top box or luggage Yes valves were checked when the belts were done I am not sure on the exhaust valve as the bike had a full system on it when I got it. I will have a look to see if its got a servo eliminator or similar and failing seeing anything I will check with the suppling dealer
I have very recently sold a 2012, 1200S with 55,000 miles and luggage for just under £5000. IMO, your asking price needs to start with a 5 if you want to sell it relatively quickly. There is another alternative, as I was having physical difficulties riding my Panigale V4 on track, I (had) prepared a 2010 Multistrada 1200S for my current track bike, https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threa...n-multistrada-1200-for-a-life-on-track.88450/. It’s an absolute hoot. Andy
Thanks Andy, will have a good read through of your thread (what a great project!). I am spoiled though as I've had past track experience with 600cc sport bikes and will probably go back that way, but look forward to hopefully bumping into you on a track day in the future to see how you go!
My previous track experience includes, 748sp, 748R, 853cc (both 748R and 748RS versions), 1098R and Panigale V4S. I highly rate my 190kg, 150 rwhp Multistrada but I have just clicked the body clock over to 70 Andy
