I'm in the market for a new bike and I am looking for a low mileage, low owner multistrada 1200 to buy any year considered, preferably NOT red must have Ohlins or Skyhook, luggage would be nice. If your planning on trading yours in and have got a rubbish price from the stealers PM me I'm in no rush to purchase, and will wait for the right bike. Thanks
Some good deals to be had out there. I picked mine up for £9k for a black touring with full luggage. 2010 with 6100 miles on the clock. Engine shat itself after 2 weeks though but got given a 12 month warranty. don't get me wrong though, cracking bike and wouldn't change it.
Don't quite understand your post ??? I'm not interested in your bike if I was I would have contacted you...I'm looking for a low mileage (under 10k) and preferably not red.
Thanks, but I'm looking for something with less than 10k miles, I'm planning to keep it for quite a while.
No offence meant, I've deleted my post as it clearly caused some concern. @purgeraptor was selling a really clean 2013 skyhook non read when I was looking late last year, as was @pawelc although his might be red?
Wait... My 2010 black with low miles has gone in for some work... Have you bought it [emoji51] How much out of interest? I got mine a few weeks ago for £8900 with full luggage.
Good deal. Mine had 6100 miles... Until the clocks randomly reset to 650 odd miles on the ride home and told me to do my first service. Now the engine has eaten itself too. I got a 12 month warranty so not too fussed. How's your warranty? [emoji3]
I'm an optimist. Sure you'll be fine. You only hear the bad on forums. Even with my issues, I still love it. Awesome bike, apart from the wind. I have Aztec spacers and some winglets to go on when the engines been rebuilt. Will post how well it works
I've gone through every combination of screen and spacers inc Palmers adjustable rake thingy... Never got hold of any winglets (giggle...ladies products)... Pikes Peak Screen.....feel the wind...not the buffeting.
I'm amazed at these older bikes with such low milages, mine has around 26,000 now on an 11 plate and will have another 10K by the time I sell. I've had pretty much everything go wrong that could (cylinder heads, switches, clocks, clutch slave etc), BUT it's all been done in the warranty period. Not to alarm you you but I sometimes wonder with the ultra low milage bikes if the build and warranty issues are still lurking in the background?
That's why I'm glad my engine went straight away. I was a bit suspect at only 6k on the clock. I put 1000 on the clock in the 2 weeks I rode it. The shop knows the guy who owned it before, he had a number of bikes so just didn't use the mutley a lot.
