muslim only alton towers day

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Phill, Jun 14, 2013.

  1. I cant see how this can be legal...

now alton towers is a privately run company and having a muslim only day surely cannot be any more legal than east coast trains or british airways having a muslim only day or working mens clubs having a women only day..........

if this is true (reported in the sun after all) this is discrimination at its worst and it is disgusting

  2. Positive discrimination. Just like in the army now, when if its too cold we can't get our commonwealth friends to stag on the gate as apparently they're 'not suited' to our cold climate! Everyone else has to pick up the slack.

  3. What an absolute pile of crap! This sort of thing will not bring Muslims closer to an integrated society! It will only serve to push further boundaries and segregation.

Fed up of the liberal do-gooders. Too much pandering going on. Can't celebrate Christmas, not allowed to fly the countries colours, yet we allow this? What a farce!

  4. Ro'Allah coaster, Taliban Tea cups, Flying prayer mats, Haunted Mosque, Pin the beard in the Mullah. I guess there will be a massive queue to ride the all new 14 year old white girl and I hope Abu Hamza does not cheat on hook a duck.

  5. Anybody can book Alton Towers for a day for their exclusive use. That means a club of Catholics, or Socialists, or Sun readers, or Ducati owners could book it. So what? Is this supposed to be news? And why the synthetic indignation?

  6. EDL will love this

  7. As Pete rightly points out,it is not a Muslim only day,the whole complex has been privately hired to a party, and is closed to the general public. If we Ducati owners hired it we could make the news with a story line ban all Honda riders,in fact no one else would be admitted entrance except our party.Unfortunately news is very cheap nowadays, and the way things can be worded really does twist the truth.

  8. I bet the tax payer will pay the bill

  9. Who cares, hope they have a great day

  10. Even Masons?

  11. But what if its a ducati riding Muslims day most of us won't be able to go :)

  12. Careful, facts and reason have no place in a well intended scandal. What makes me truly sick is the way this perfectly legal private day has been twisted to inflame tension at an already delicate time.

  13. Maybe they organised it..;

  14. What are you doing reading the Sun (aka "looking at the pictures") in any case?

You surely weren't hoping to find any real news?

  15. A good target for the RAF then, or even better- get the subs in the irish sea and send in some cruise missiles.

  16. Reckon we should put him on a warning, I mean a Ducati owner reading anything bar the Independent or, at a push, the Telegraph? Outrageous abuse of position if you ask me *fingerwag*
