Mutley new levers - fitting

  1. Hi folks,
Anything to keep an eye for when fitting new clutch/brake levers?

  2. What are you fitting ? I've got ASVs and they were a straight swap. Andy

  3. Got some el cheapos from eBay in Hong Kong. Had them on previous bikes and were great. Worth trying for £20

  4. Should be no more difficult than before then. Brembo master cylinders are pretty universal. Andy

  5. Just remember to put some kind of anti seize paste on the pivot points when you fit the new ones. Molyslip or similar will do the job but you need something in there to stop them binding.

  6. Blimey, what a pain in the backside!

Eventually got the barrel/master cylinder pin out of the lever.

As you can see from the picture, when the lever is fully extended, there is not enough gap to slide the barrel out of the top or bottom.

Time for more trouble, its clutch time now :frown:

  7. Now fully installed, now that I know the trick to getting the bits out, clutch was 15mins :upyeah:

  8. looks good, how about some further away pics ? - they look a little small at those angles...is there like a size option based on hand size ?

  9. The clutch one gives a good representation. These are shorty levers, you can get longer ones, for bigger hands, for the same price.

  10. I'm not sure i find the need to change the standard levers.

I like them better than the Pazzo copies.

  11. Fair enough duke63

  12. Its each to their own, mate. Your new levers do look good but i do like the feel of the standard levers.
