Had a test ride on one, the bike that is, a few months ago. A very tall bike but goes like stink and handles quite well. Not in the same league as the multi tho'
I really like the red wheels on that paddock stand with the contrasting alloy. Oh yes, the bike; I've ridden an 800 Brutale Dragster. Bit hyperactive but a great engine, brakes and handling. If you want a comfy MV, how about the new Tourismo Veloce. Not sure if it comes with such a nice paddock stand though...
Nice bike and I don't get why people would spend more on the turismo but they are. has anyone seen one on of these on the road. The luggage system is terrific on the stradale.
If it's anything like the Ducati Hyperstrada (which it is), the problem is that the Rivale is based on a hypermotard style bike. This means the riding position feels like you're sitting very forward on the bike. Not comfortable for me (6ft tall). The Tourismo Veloce doesn't have that problem but I agree, isn't better looking, just different.
I have sat on both the stradale and Rivale. The stradale does a far better job than the hyperstrada of making the bike not feel like a motard. It feels quite different to the Rivale. The seat is scooped and the bars might be higher [not sure on the bar thing, can anyone confirm].
I'm hoping Ducati make a Tourismo Veloce version of the Hyperstrada that fits me and my long arms when they announce the new models. Otherwise I'm up for a Diavel as a 60th birthday prezz next year. Not an easy choice as I love my Monster.
Yep, 2012 evo. Bought it used with 1,500 on the clock. It had Termi's on plus Rizoma bars, risers and grips. Also a Datatool alarm and 14 tooth front sprocket. I've added some carbon, a Rexxer remap and had the suspension set up for my weight\riding. It's really nice!
