1260 My Best Mpg Figure To Date

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by pcn1, Aug 14, 2024.

  1. I did have new tires fitted recently so assume that helped.
For reference just cruzin' down the a nice duel carriageway at 60 mph.
Touring mode and 42 teeth rear sprocket !

  2. Nice! I hover around 48mpg on average and haven't reset my trip since I picked the bike up. I do notice that motorway running on the 1260 is very efficient, even with the change in gearing (+1 front sprocket).

  4. I’d be interested to see what my 2015 1200 dvt is getting to the gallon , it’s permanently in sport & always 2 up, so im guessing no where near those figures

  5. Its a nice to know figure, but in the real world I haven't dropped all this money on the bike to fuss over the mpg.
    Its not a daily commuter.
My mate did like to say his GS 1250 did return 62 mpg once.............. : unamused:

  6. Shameful. That must be one of the most sedated rides anywhere.
Mileage like that on a Ducati is nothing to be proud about.
You're not riding it hard enough. Cane it down and to mid thirties and report back.

  7. I don't patirucalr care for 'caning it' on a 12 hour motorway ride to Lyon... But yes, on the twisties, mpg counting goes out the window lol
