999 My First 999s

  1. Hi all

    Acquired this beauty yesterday from Mid Essex motorcycles. Only done 3k miles. I have a 899 panigale and can’t believe the difference (I know it’s 17 years old) aiming to do about 100-200 miles a year on it :):)

  6. Well I don’t know if I have over paid - but had 2 new tyres, everything stripped and bolts acid dipped with a service too.

    Mine is the later model, above. Any 999S mono is easy worth 9k in good order I would suggest. They are equally worth 998 money, even if the wider market has not caught on yet!

    To me the main different is the way it pulls away - 899 is so much more smooth. haven’t ridden the 999 out of first gear yet, so yet to know the other subtle differences :)
