Had my Hyper in for an exhaust header replacement today and the terribly nice chaps at Ducati Manchester let me take a Diavel out for a couple of hours... Gawd..that motor is sweet..in sport mode the throttle pick up and torque is fantastic, the termi system fitted to it sounds pretty good too. the Diavel is a really nice bike, not sure what I expected but for the most part, comfy, though the pegs felt high or maybe the seat felt low, at least compared to the hyper, but gotta say for a big bird the handling is great, requires a bit of counter steering through the turns and feels a bit heavy in the slower turns, but she goes! there was a bit of free play in the throttle which meant it felt a bit abrupt when gassing it out of the bend with a tendency to try and stand up before the corner was done, so a bit of planning and effort needed to get it round and out of the slow turns. A very nice bike indeed, much nicer than the MTS i tried a couple of months ago.. ...so now my Hyper feels slow :[ or at least a lot less torquey, shouldn't be surprised I guess, the hyper is tons more agile though, despite the power deficit, it was nice to get back on it..
