My leathers...

  1. ...Are kicking up a bit. Well, a lot actually, they fuggin' stink:eek: The combination of 7 days hard use followed by getting caught in a downpour means I can't get near them without breathing apparatus.

Any ideas on getting rid of the smell?

  2. Try the local incinerator!

  3. But they're new! Well, about six months old, and I like 'em. Believe me, when you're as 'muscular' as I am it's hard to find kit that fits well. I've got 20-year-old leather in my wardrobe that don't smell half as bad as these:frown:

  4. Hang em out on the washing line when its breezy (with the zips all undone of course), failing that, douce it in febreeze!

  5. £50 doesn't seem too bad really. But I'll try Johnsons first as they're local.

  6. I go with washing line approach. Worked for me to kill the wet dog smell.

  7. And there's was me thinking it was your new aftershave!! ;-)

  8. Yeah, but what are you doing prior to hanging them up? Machine wash? Scrubbing with detergent or soap? Febreeze..?

  9. I just hang em up and febreeze em once dry, leave it do do its magic and start wearing them in a couple of days....job done (zero cost until the wife realises I have used a full bottle!)

  10. Still better then channel perfumes.

If they are clean but smell developed then hang them in dry day spraying febreeze in to it every couple of hours. If they are still wet dry them up same way before febreeze treatment. If dirty clean with heingericke leather cleaner (will need to find new one) it will make them moist so hang out to dry and febreeze if needed.

  11. Buy new ya tight nobba

  12. They are new, ya donkey!

  13. Febreeze them after an airing :) if it makes some sweaty geezers jockstrap smell like peaches and cream then there's hope!!

Other thing is are they tanned properly stinking leathers can mean not tanned right ..

  14. You wanna wash before you go commando in those leathers
No wonder they honk a bit ;-)
