I have only owned my PP multistrada for about a month now I new straight away I had made the right decision to px my Pannigale took the multistrada down to sammy millers museum toady about 150miles round trip, after putting new michelins 5s on last Saturday to say it's transformed the handerling is an understatement wow what a fantastic motorcycle if any of you sport bikes riders out there are not convinced I suggest you have a test ride on one this is one of the best bikes I have ridden I did also met a fellow member from this forum but didn't get a name who ever it was,it was great talking to you
The quality of fasteners still needs to be heavily upped in my humble opinion. As someone who rides all year around though not on my enduro during the worst of winter. I've stubbornly succumbed to replacing fasteners with stainless steel, the bikes are superb. *knew I had a job dealing with the seized on oil filler cap from conquest-racing/dukabike. As someone had nipped it up beyond what was sensible. And it required a torx (spare) bit hammered into it & then wiped off. Just a little warning about over-zealous spannerers..
I have the 5's on my 2017 1200s. Yes they are great & 5000 miles in still loads of meat on them but it is getting a bit squirmy. So my question is what pressure are you running. Book says 36 all round. Had this & upped to 38 rear & for next few hundred till I get new rear will be upping to 40.
Steviegtr, be wary of altering the recommended tyre pressure too much. I know there are plenty on here who like to think they know better than the tyre manufacturers, but they have spent time and money on determining the correct pressure for their tyres. They are not going to give poor advice - it's not in their interests. If you are carrying extra load like luggage or a passenger then of course increase the pressure as per the handbook, as this will give enough air mass to cope with the extra work whilst giving the best contact patch/durability balance. If you suffer squirminess and have the correct pressures then there is a another reason for that. Over inflation will only result in a reduced contact patch and accelerated wear in the centre of the tyre. Have you tried switching to Sports mode instead? I did that when my OE Scorpians wore on the front which gave an unsecured feeling and it helped to make the bike rideable again.
Funnily enough i normally knock a couple of psi off for normal riding but never go above the recommended pressures I see there is a centre stand on the first pic, I didnt think PP bikes came with them or was it an add on
Morning bigyin I presume the centre stand was an add on when the bike was purchased new and it’s very handy
