Just wanted to share my delight in my new carbon fibre hugger. Gave the bike its first long run since the completion of re-build. Went to London and back for work. She ran perfectly. Never missed a beat. Then home yesterday to fit new hugger (did I mention my new carbon fibre hugger). Fitting was a bit of a pain as the moulding for the chain guard nut would not pass through between tyre and swing arm. Had to loosen back wheel shaft, remove chain and move wheel back all the way to get the clearance. I now have a decent standard hugger spare if anyone needs one.
Was it out of necessity or just fancied the carbon look? I had to buy one for mine because my replacement Avon ST2 breached the standard hugger. I like the carbon though. Your bike looks well cared for.
I previously had an ST4S which had a carbon hugger as standard so always fancied one for the ss. This one came up, reasonable price and bonus for me is the semi-gloss finish which I prefer. Im on the look out now for a drive socket cover and front mud guard in the same finish.
