So after being away from all things Ducati for about 5 years or so I couldn’t resist this little thing. I have a question for the collective , can the wing mirror lens be replaced as they have a multitude of fine hairline scratches over the glass.
Nice bike. Is that a genuine PP? I don’t know if you can get just the mirror glass, but I know you can get stick on mirror replacements for cars. If you can cut glass that could be an option, or just as a glazier to cut a mirror to size and bond it on top.
Lovely bike and I don't think you can just replace the mirror glass, that sounds just too easy for Ducati, it'll probably be a complete mirror unit, but I hope I'm wrong. Good luck.
If the mirror is similar to the V4 Panigale, the glass is an old fashioned push fit. Talk to your dealer’s parts department. And welcome. Andy
Thanks all, to reply in order not a PP just a regular 1200s. The way I see it is part A (glass) must be attached to part B ( mirror arm). What is the small removable cap underneath for?
Nice bike, and no the mirror glass can’t be replaced, as I had to change the whole mirror unit. You’ll probably find one online, but unless it’s new, may also have scratches.
I've got the same problem. I'm wondering if there's anyway of polishing the scratches out? There are various glass polishing compounds for sale and some people have suggested using toothpaste.
