My poor 848 waiting to go the journey.

  1. Well, all cleaned, polished and sorted ready to go. Feel sad letting her go. Maybe I will regret it but you can only try.

No doubt I will be back especially when the 899 is being touted around !!

Say bye to her, hope she goes to a good home.

  2. Sad sad day :frown:

  3. When I sold my evo the bike transport man arrived in his van to collect on behalf of the buyer.
He started the bike to run it up the ramp.
Bike fired on the button, full system rumbled into life....

    Hmmmmmmmmmm.... I thought...:frown:

  4. That's what I am worried about. I will genuinely be very sad to see it go, it's been a mint bike, for me to keep a bike over 2 1/2 years is saying something !!!

But £8k for a 5 year old bike AND £1k off the new one it was silly not to take it.

  5. Only if you enjoy the new bike as much

  6. Good deal!

You'll soon forget the ole slag once the new hottie arrives.... It's the way of things...:upyeah:

  7. bonkers!

I keeps 'em for a while - at least 5 years.

It looks too nice to let go.

  8. when do you pick the blade up

  9. So sad. Love the wheels.

  10. Hi Phil,
Blade is being delivered free from Manchester tomorrow morning sometime.
sad day ahead, hopefully it works out well.

  11. who did you deal with
I take it you went down for a look ??

  12. No. didn't go, I know the owner John and he sort of owed me a favour hence the cracking deal. I have put a few customers his way and he has always beat their best price to change by around £500. A friend of a friend just got a Blade last week and put his 848 Evo dark in, got £900 more than Honda Newcastle's 'best' deal !

By the way if anyone is fancying a change ring John at Hunts and tell him Ian put you on to him, maybe worth your while.

  13. He'll be inundated with Ducatis now then...

  14. Replacing a great bike with another great bike. I don't see the problem myself :upyeah:You'll still be more than welcome here thou

  15. 848 still looks great, as always it is gleaming i see. Look forward to seeing the blade when i get back from Greece. Will it be std or are bits already on order?

  16. I will still be a regular on here, Ducati mad so another one will be added if and when I can afford it.

Cannot spend like I used to so it will just be the normal for now. Levers, screen, hugger, seat cowl, R&G (A must ! )

A slip on maybe when I get to Florida in 2 weeks,30/40% saving over there and can be carried as hand luggage as I did last year !!

  17. Is this because Honda are releasing a new "from the ground up" blade shortly? I remember buying my K4 GSXR1000Z just as the K5 were being released and got it for £7k. I was too tall for the K5 as it was somewhat more compact than the K4. I do like the blades. My mate has one but is chewing on a Ducati next. Nice 848 Ian, cracking trade in deal. Pics of the blade please when it arrives.
PS, I will still talk to you

  18. any pics of ya newun.
    did it go smooth

  19. The blades are superb bikes, only got rid of mine because at the time I had that and the rc8r and only the blade would make the noise limits on track and I didn't want to risk binning it so ended up getting a cheap track r1 instead.

considering another one actually but the money I've just got from my last bike sale will have to sit for a while until I get offered a new job contract which hopefully won't be long, being at home with the mrs this much is driving me bonkers.

    enjoy the new one.
